She loves to go for long walks and have her belly rubbed. She has been consistent is going outside to do her business.  Tesla loves squeaker toys and playing tug of war with a rope.  She sleeps in her crate at night.  Tesla is super friendly and wants to greet everyone she sees.  She is food motivated which is helping with her learning sit, down and stay. At only 2 months old, Tesla found herself knocking on death's door. Her frail little body was highly infected with both hook and round worms at the same time she became infected with the deadly parvovirus. And to make matters worst, her owner never provided Tesla with any of her required vet care and kept her at a known drug house. When the owner's sister heard that Tesla was near death and not receiving any care, the sister went to the "crack" house, gained ownership of Tesla and immediately took her to a vet. Once there, Tesla received treatment for the worms and virus and made a rather quick recovery.  Now that Tesla has been given a new lease on life, she is determined to be the friendliest, most playful and inquisitive dog in the world. She has a keen interest in playing with other dogs, loves her interaction with people and loves to go exploring while on walks. She would thrive in a home with plenty of room to roam or with someone who loves to go on long walks or hikes.  After she arrived at our rescue, Tesla was given a full regiment of her annual vaccinations, de-wormings and monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. She will be spay on Dec 11 and also receive a heartworm test. She is crate trained and has progressed well with her house and leash training, but will need additional training on both.
