FIV is only transmitted through deep bite wounds (not through sharing bowls, grooming, or cuddling), which means FIV+ cats can safely live with FIV-negative cats in a stable home environment. Many FIV+ cats are known for being especially affectionate and people-oriented — and Teddy fits that description perfectly.
