Meet Tina, a 7-month-old, 40 lb., female, German Doodle (German Shepherd/Poodle Mix). She is a local owner surrender whose daddy is a purebred German Shepherd and mama is a mini Golden Doodle. Tina is a professional snuggle bug that excels in cuddling her foster humans and fur-siblings! This sweet girl loves playtime and is certainly up for a game of fetch outdoors anytime. If you get her excited, she will woof at you with a ball in her mouth; it will keep you smiling and laughing for hours! Tina is a bit shy and timid at first and can be easily frightened with new experiences due to her submissive nature. She came into rescue very under-socialized. She is looking for a patient and loving family to help her build confidence and overcome her fears. Tina is potty trained but she does tend to ‘piddle’ sometimes when approached or touched. She is also kennel trained and is currently working on leash and basic command training. Tina’s grooming needs are minimal; her long coat may require occasional brushing, which she has adapted well to in her foster home. She can be vocal at times, typically alerting when someone else comes into the home. Tina gets along with other dogs in her foster home but requires slow introductions to new dogs and people; her interactions with cats and children have not been tested in her foster home. She was said to be with young children in her previous home. She would do best with children 10 and over due to her being so timid and lacking experience. Sudden movements and loud noises scare her. She would thrive in an active family that can provide her with the love, patience, and the training she needs to flourish. If you’re looking for a cuddle companion who loves playtime outside, Tina would be the perfect addition to your family!
