Meet Tobie Tobie is likely a greyhound/lab mix estimated to be just under a year old and he’s still got plenty of that fun puppy energy. He’s a fast boy who loves to run, so an active home would be right up his alley. Tobie would do best with a family willing to work on a solid recall if they’d like him to enjoy off-leash time; until then, we don’t recommend him being off leash without it as he will follow his nose wherever it takes him! He is basically a full time detective and his nose is his most commonly used tool! He has a great balance of energy and affection. Tobie would make an incredible adventure buddy, but once his physical and mental needs are met, he’s more than happy to settle in for cuddles. He loves putting his face RIGHT in front of yours just enough to block your view of the TV. Tobie is potty trained and does fairly well in a crate, though it can take him a few minutes to settle down for sleep. He rides very nicely in the car and is currently working on his leash manners with his foster. He has been a bit over excited when seeing other dogs/humans but is slowly getting better. Tobie is playful and gets along with other dogs; however, we are unsure about cats. Although this hasn’t been fully tested (because it’s winter), he is showing us a great love of water! He enjoys sticking his head between the shower curtains and lapping up as much water as he can. I would imagine he’d be tough to keep out of a lake, river, pool, etc. if given the opportunity. With continued guidance, structure, and love, Tobie is going to be an amazing companion for the right home.
