Tokyo’s role model is Iris Apfel, and since coming to TJO she has done a great job projecting the self confidence and youthful energy of the famous fashionista. Tokyo is looking for some humans who will help her to continue being her awesome self for as long as possible.OTHER PETS: Tokyo enjoys exploring and relaxing and does a good job of setting boundaries with others. She enjoys having her own space and is not looking for a new best friend but might be up for a respectful roommate. As with all our dogs, Tokyo should meet any dog they would be living with prior to adoption. [Case by Case (Must Meet First)]OWNER EXPERIENCE: Tokyo would benefit from someone who has cared for an aged dog before, however anyone with love and commitment to ensuring she receives age appropriate vet care would be a good fit. [Some Experience]KIDS: Tokyo enjoys human attention and still shows her excitement by getting bouncy from time to time. She would likely get along with any human who will respect her space when she needs alone time. As with all our dogs, Tokyo should meet any humans she would be living with prior to adoption. [10+ / Dog Savvy (Must Meet First)]ACTIVITY LEVEL: Tokyo is an older lady who still has a bit of a spring in her step but has definitely slowed down since her puppy phase. Daily walks and plenty of mental enrichment would be beneficial to her, walks should be done with care to not push her past her limit. [Couch Potato] VETERINARY CARE: Tokyo will need a good relationship with a vet to ensure that she continues to live her best life throughout her golden years. She has luxating patellas (something many small dogs are diagnosed with) and is in need of dental work.
