Tonka’s story begins in the cold—curled up inside a makeshift winter shelter in a vacant lot, quietly hoping someone would notice him. Thankfully, a dedicated volunteer did. With regular meals and gentle care, Tonka slowly revealed the soft, affectionate soul he’d been hiding all along. With his stunning slate-blue coat and soulful eyes, Tonka has the look of a Russian Blue—though of course, his true story is a mystery. What we do know is that he’s pure sweetness. This gentle boy leans into every touch, soaking up affection and returning it tenfold with soft snuggles and quiet companionship. Tonka is sensitive at heart and can be startled by sudden loud noises, so he’d thrive in a calm, peaceful home—perhaps with quiet gentle older children or no children at all—where he can feel safe and cherished. He’s waited long enough out in the cold. Now he’s ready for a warm lap, a quiet home, and someone to love him forever.
