Meet Torben! At approximately 1 year old, Torben is the kind of Sharpei people hope to find. He’s the perfect mix of playful, gentle, affectionate, and easygoing. From the moment he settled in, it was obvious he naturally has an incredibly balanced and loving personality. He loves interacting with his people, happily follows you around the house, and truly thrives being part of the family. Now don’t get us wrong, this guy is still very puppy like…loves pulling at toilet paper rolls, may have mistaken a throw pillow for a stuffed toy, and does need a good chew toy to do that puppy chewing. Torben needs to be an indoor dog where he can enjoy companionship, cuddles, and daily life with his humans. What makes Torben so special: &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 incredibly sweet and gentle &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 absolutely zero signs of aggression &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 wonderful with other dogs &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 puppy playful &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 quiet and settles nicely when left alone &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 highly intelligent and inquisitive &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 loves toys and entertaining himself, especially chew toys &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 super soft affectionate cuddle bug &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 adapts quickly to new environments &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 great with baths, ear cleanings, and paw handling He can absolutely turn on the fun when it’s playtime, but he also genuinely enjoys relaxing nearby, hanging out on the couch, and even watching TV with his people. He has a calm, balanced personality and an “old soul” quality that makes him incredibly easy to live with. Torben already knows how to use a dog door and handles everyday life like a champ. Loud noises don’t faze him, and he’s wonderfully cooperative with handling and grooming. He’s also very food motivated because this handsome growing boy is fully committed to filling out into the big stud he was clearly meant to become. One of our favorite things about him is how well he balances independence with affection. He’s perfectly content entertaining himself with toys while still wanting to be close to his humans and part of whatever’s going on.
