Critter Details

Trigger is a 7-month-old 40 pound Labrador Retriever mix with a heart as big as his journey has been. This brave boy came to the rescue after surviving a tough start to life—he was shot and lived outside until he was saved. Despite losing a leg, Trigger is now thriving as a pain-free, happy tripod. While his personality is slowly emerging, one thing is clear; Trigger is sweet, gentle, and full of love. He seems to be house trained, is working on crate training, and gets along well with other dogs. Whether he’s part of a bustling family or a quiet home, Trigger will adapt beautifully, given a little time to feel safe and loved. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a story of resilience and a heart of gold, Trigger might just be your perfect match. Are you ready to give this special boy the loving forever home he deserves? If you are interested in adopting Trigger please submit an inquiry directly with Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet’s age. ***Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to meet/pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt.***
