Critter Details

Greetings, I am the one and only TRIO (Turbo), tadaaah and here's a bit about me:Breed: Saluki/German Shepherd MixAge: 3 yearsGender: MaleWeight: 20 kgCurrent Location: CanadaHighlights: tripaw, social, calm, playfulIf you are a dog park person, that is where I really thrive. I thoroughly enjoy playing with other dogs. Of course, I am hoping for lots of other adventures too.As a puppy, I endured the horrific act of cruelty of my leg being severed, likely intended for dark and unfathomable purposes by shamans. Only an evil person would do such a thing.I am social and enjoy the company of people and dogs. I love kids too. While I haven’t been cat-tested, it's expected I will do well with proper introductions.Though I may initially bark and pull when meeting new dogs, I quickly settle and make friends. People-Friendly 70% of the time, I am great with visitors, except the odd quirk of wariness with unique folks – like workers in hard hats, covid masks and such. It is best if introductions are not rushed. For me, slow and steady wins the race. With positive greetings and a calm energy, I do well. If uncomfortable, I may growl or show my teeth as a nervous reaction, but have never bitten or caused harm; these are just my signals to establish boundaries. Just give me a little time to acclimate.Crate-trained, housebroken, and well-mannered most of the time, those are positives in my favor. I walk well on a leash, but get animated when I see other dogs, thus bark and jump up and down wanting to go greet them. At dog park, I usually only bark at other high energy dogs or runners.I am a calm, chill boy indoors, sleep well, and have no separation anxiety. I bond deeply with my people, so need a forever home.Best suited for an experienced adopter who understands structured introductions and positive reinforcement. I need a smooth transition plan into a new home to build trust and confidence. Continued leash and greeting training would be good. If you are willing to give me the time to decompress and learn my new home, I guarantee you will be happy as a lark with me.Here are additional vids of me: https://youtu.be/L3LEBooVrIE, https://youtu.be/_MLwbCeVRe8, https://youtu.be/hNyC6g3tYEI, https://youtu.be/ecNZ31JTwko.Energy Level: moderate-high to highI get along with:Dogs: yesCats: unknown, though possiblyKids: yesFears: some fear/anxiety of – motorcycles, strangers who are different (like the utility people with hard hats and tools, strangers coming in with COVID masks, people acting funny in his face.) Please be patient assisting me in my transition.Training:Leash skills: Some. Please be prepared to continue training.House trained: Yes. Please help me learn where to go in my new home.Health notes: Anal sac abscess summer 2024. Received required surgery. Per veterinary recommendation, sacs were removed to prevent any chronic issue. Fully recovered and no ongoing medical concerns related to this condition.I have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $650.00 CAD plus applicable taxes.
