Meet Waylon! Waylon is a 18 pound, approx 1.8 year old poodle mix.  Waylon is a happy dog who loves to play with his toys and with other dogs.  He loves to snuggle with you on the couch, but then can chill in his doggie bed when he wants to as well.   Being a young pup, Waylon is learning his basic skills. He learned potty training in two weeks and he is a bright boy who is eager to please! His new family will want to join a force/fear free class to hone his leash skills and manners.  As he has a lot of energy to burn, he would love a secure yard to run and play in.  An apartment situation may be okay given the right circumstances. And of course, daily walks and adventures and brain games will help him thrive.  Waylon has a funny little howl he likes to do when he wants a snack, toy or attention.  Waylon would make a wonderful addition to a family who has another dog his size (he can be a wee rough with the littles as he hasn't found his spacial boundaries yet).  He'd also do well with a family with older kids (for the same reason as small dogs, he could knock a toddler over). Waylon is also crate trained and uses a crate while riding in the car. He is great on car rides. He is very food motivated and has been known to surf the counters and garbage can if he gets the chance, so something to be aware of if you tend to leave food out. He was most likely on the streets for a while so once he knows he is fed on a regular schedule the scavenger in him will most likely settle down.  Waylon is a very happy, playful, intelligent pup who will be to a great addition for his new people! Could that be you? Underdogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. Adoption fee is $425. Waylon is being fostered in the Vancouver, WA area. You MUST have an Underdogs Rock Rescue application on file to request a meet with an Underdog. An online Underdogs Rock adoption application can only be accessed at  https://underdogsrock.org/adopt-a-dog   You must be available to meet an Underdog in their foster's location and dogs are not held for applicants or shipped outside of the Portland metro area. Home checks are also part of the process and will be conducted virtually.
