Meet Winthrop, a friendly guy who is ready for his forever home! He is the perfect mix of playful and cuddly, cherishing any and all time he gets from humans. Since being an abandoned street cat, Winthrop has come a long way. He was terrified at first, but by the time he got to his foster home (a short 1 mile drive), he was already in his foster mom’s arms purring. Once Winthrop feels safe, he becomes very protective over his human. Winthrop will need to be a single kitty, preferring to soak up all attention himself. Winthrop would do well in a quiet or busy home, as long as he has his human to himself. Winthrop can have a bit of separation anxiety, so he would love a forever home where his human is around most of the time. As he is very playful and easily handled, Winthrop could be a good fit for children.Winthrop is a high-energy kitty who LOVES to play. At a moment’s notice, Winthrop can wear himself out pouncing on feathery wand toys, retrieving toy mice, or playing fetch like a dog. He also is a climber, scaling anything vertical that he can get his grip on. Winthrop loves an elevated view, so he can watch over his kingdom. Aside from playtime, Winthrop enjoys the little things in life like his water fountain and watching cat TV. One of Winthrop’s unique quirks is the way he rolls over like a dog to beg for belly rubs. He is quite the affectionate cat who loves people. He loves to nap next to his human and will reach out with his paw when sleeping to make sure you're still next to him. Winthrop loves to be carried around the house, enjoying even mundane moments with you. Winthrop is one chatty Kathy, ensuring his cute vocals are heard whenever he needs something from his humans.
