To adopt this cat from Black Cat Rescue, please fill out a profile https://blackcatrescue.com/adopt-cat-boston Zeta is a male kitten born approximately 12/20/2025. He must be adopted into a home with another energetic cat. We will not consider adoption profiles where there is no other cat playmate for him. Here's what their foster volunteers say about them:   How would you describe the cat's general personality? Zeta’s a very sweet little guy, and quite goofy. He loves attention, and generally to be next to you than on your lap. He strikes the most ridiculous poses, sometime falling over. He loves a belly rub and is quite chatty. He loves other cats too! Does the cat enjoy being pet? YES! He purrs a lot when being pet or held. If yes, on what parts of its body does the cat like to be pet? Everywhere, including the belly. We've made a lot of effort to rub his paws so that he’s used to having them touched.  Are there any parts of its body that the cat does NOT like being touched? Nope! Does the cat come on your lap? Zeta likes to be next to us on the floor more, but will come on our laps still for attention and snuggles.  Does the cat like to be held? Yes! Does the cat sleep in your bed? He’s not been given the opportunity to do so. But I bet he'd like to do so if given half the chance! Does the cat seek your attention? Yes, yes and more yes! Does the cat like to play? Yes! What are the cat's favorite games and toys? Spring toys are a big favorite, as is romping with his littermates. He enjoys chasing a wand toy. How vocal is the cat? What kinds of sounds does the cat make? He meows quite a bit, especially when in a new situation. Otherwise, he has a loud purr. Does the cat scratch a scratcher? Yes, he has recently learned to use a vertical scratcher, having watched one of our cats using it. Does the cat always use the litter box? Yes, never had any accidents. He’s very good at covering up in the litter box. What food and frequency is the cat currently eating? Free feeding dry food (Purina kitten) and twice-daily wet food (Fancy Feast kitten pate). Is the cat picky about food? Not at all. What is the cat's favorite treat? Churu! Does the cat ever swat (claws in) at you? If so, under what circumstances? No Has the cat ever scratched (claws out) you? Only unintentionally when climbing on us and because he has sharp kitten claws.  Does the cat ever nip (teeth without breaking skin) you? Zeta can be a bit play-nippy, but we’re trying to train him out of this by redirecting to a toy. Has the cat ever bitten you (breaking skin)? No To the best of your knowledge, how does the cat react to new people? Social? Fearful? We’ve only had a couple of visitors so far, and he’s getting better at coming out. If you have observed the cat with other animals, please describe how they get on? We recently integrated him with our resident cats and he is doing great. One of our cats has taken him under his wing, and it's really cute to watch Zeta learn how to be a cat. Having another kitten or playful cat in the home is a must for Zeta. Does the cat have any cute/quirky traits that aren’t covered by the previous questions? He sometimes falls off our laps because he has no sense of his personal space and strikes the silliest of poses. He’s so much fun to be around! In your opinion, what is the best thing about the cat? Why should an adopter choose THIS cat to adopt? He’s a great, sweet and loving kitten. It’s been so special watching this litter discover toys and learn to play, and discover how much they enjoy petting! What are the cat's challenges and how have you found to best manage them? The litter came to us from outside, where they were living under someone's house in snowy conditions. We've focused on socializing them – showing them love, affection and giving churu really helped to bring them out of their shells. They are still cautious of new things/experiences, so we keep exposing them to new things systematically, which is working well.   To learn more about adopting this cat in Massachusetts, please visit www.blackcatrescue.com or fill out an Adoption Profile at https://blackcatrescue.com/adopt-cat-boston.
