Zip is a lovely dark-furred short hair with a soft and thoughtful personality. She tends to hang back and watch the action – a true introvert!- but she's always close by her favorite people. Her calm presence with other cats means she could do well with adult cats or other kittens, and she blossoms when she feels safe and loved (so we recommend a calm, quiet home without a lot of noise/chaos). For anyone who appreciates a gentle, observant companion, Zip will be a perfect fit. Zip is being treated for a current ringworm infection. This can take anywhere between 4-8 weeks to clear up, depending on how diligent a caretaker is with treatment and cleaning, as well as how quickly her skin responds to treatment. Since Zip is already spayed, she can be adopted out as-is and PAWS can provide free ringworm follow up care to her adopter, unless they'd prefer to treat her through their own veterinarian's office. Age: ~4 months Animal ID#: A180621 Location: PAWS Grays Ferry Clinic This is not a walk-in facility, so please email adoptions@phillypaws.org to set up a time to meet this kitty! **This pet is currently being treated for ringworm, a mild fungal infection of the skin that usually clears up within 6-8 weeks of starting treatment. All the follow-up care we provide for your ringworm pet is free of charge at a PAWS facility while they finish their treatment with you, and we are with you every step of the way! You can learn more about adopting a pet with ringworm here.** Ringworm care can actually be a breeze with the right set-up and if you have the time to dedicate to it, but can be a bit tedious since it can spread easily to any living creature and requires some caution to prevent that. Ideally we would love to find a home without any really young kids or other pets, just to limit the risk of exposure, unless the home has enough space to keep everyone fully and safely separated. PAWS provides all of the medications and other treatments needed at our clinic, so please read through the info linked above and if you feel like your home would be a fit you can apply and reach out to us to learn more! _____________________________________ Learn more about PAWS' adoption process, locations, and more at: phillypaws.org/adopt/info or email adoptions@phillypaws.org to learn more.
