All of our dogs are in foster homes and not in one single kennel location. Adoption events is the best way to meet several of our dogs at once. Zoe Ann is an approximately 6 year old spayed female. This girl is special! We don’t know anything about her past, but we’re guessing she had puppies and spent most of her time in the backyard. She is housebroken with the use of a dog door.Everything is new for Zoe. Dog doors, stairs, being inside the house. She would wait at the dog door until someone gave her permission to come through. She has blossomed over the last 3-4 weeks. Her favorite things are walks, tearing up stuffed animals and car rides. She does not want to get out of the car, so that can be challenging! It appears that this girl did not go on any walks in her past life. She is excited about everything! Walks can be time consuming as there is a lot of alerting, stopping and sniffing. She greets dogs carefully and does not get along with everyone she meets. Introductions should be done with care. Zoe Ann loves her humans and is a first rate shadow. Helping in the bathroom, the kitchen, the garage are all her thing!Zoe Ann could use some leash training as she is a puller. This is getting better as the newness of walking is fading somewhat. She is a level 2 Understanding Dog Levels Please be sure you understand what a dog of this Level requires. Go to our home page for an explanation of the Dog Rating Levels. Additional Adoption Information For more information and to see when this dog will be attending an Adoption Day, please see our Dogs page on our main website. (Adoption Process) We operate within a reasonable driving distance from the Greater Sacramento area, the Central Valley down to Merced, and Lake Tahoe. A reasonable driving distance is determined by where one of our volunteers is willing to drive within our areas of service. That means we don't adopt out of our area, to Southern California, or out of state. Puppy Requirements We have special Requirements for Adopting a Puppy and a separate Puppy Questionnaire that must be completed on puppies. Please see our Requirements for Adopting a Puppy or email us at info@gcgsr.org for more information. Thank you for visiting!
