Zuri is a sweet pup who is currently with our partner rescue in Louisiana but hoping to come to NJ soon. We do offer a foster-to-adopt trial to approved adopters. Meet Zuri  Part sunshine, part goofball, and part “I’m just gonna need a minute to warm up, please and thank you.” Zuri is a sweet Lab mix with a gentle soul and a heart that blooms once she feels safe.   At first, she might hang back and observe (she’s more of a “read the room” kind of girl), but give her a little patience and you’ll discover a playful, silly, tail-wagging companion who loves to make you smile. And if there’s a sunny spot nearby? That’s her stage. Zuri is a professional sunbather—seriously, she could teach a masterclass in soaking up the good vibes  She’s smart, curious, and loves being outdoors, whether it’s exploring the yard or just lounging like a queen in her favorite patch of sunshine. She also does well with other dogs, though like many of us, she prefers her snacks to be respected—so mealtime boundaries are her love language.   Zuri isn’t looking for perfection—just a patient, kind human who understands that the best relationships take a little time. Once you’re in her circle, you’re in for life (and probably for a lot of backyard lounging sessions together). If you believe the best things in life are worth waiting for, Zuri might just be your girl    Zuri is fixed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. Her   adoption donation is $550.   – Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption.
